Ways to deal with anxiety

Life is weird and sometimes cruel. It’s filled with obstacles and objects being thrown at you left and right forcing you to make decisions. Whether it’s working a full-time job, being a student, or dealing with family/friend issues, it’s all bound to making you feel some level of anxiety.

I am going to share with you some techniques and activities I’ve found to be extremely helpful in combating anxiety.

  1. Just Breathe. Take a deep breath and then let it all out. While breathing, think about this. Know you are a unique individual. Nobody has gone through what you have and accomplished what you’ve done. Be proud of who you are.
  2. Find your happy place. And this takes practice, I can’t tell you what yours is. You must find it yourself. My happy places are pondering on what went on in, “Joyland,” by Stephen King, and playing videogames. Yours may or may not be similiar to mine, but I believe you can find your place. For instance, it may be sitting outside or listening to music.
  3. Cutting caffeine. Cutting and reducing caffeine intake may help prevent anxiety symptoms.

Let’s talk about the present. I am currently a third-year college student majoring in the Communications department (Journalism) πŸ˜—

I have worked four different jobs and two internships. I have two dogs named Hana (Yellow Labrador) and Ruby (Black Labrador) 🐢

I have an older brother and little brother. I recently turned 21 🍺🍻

I don’t know why… I guess it’s because I like random things…

Anyways! I love video games, beauty related products, and learning various talents.

I am currently about to start learning ASL (American Sign Language) because I’ve always wanted to. 😊
